US Supreme Court Won't Hear Oregon Gay Marriage Case

The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear an attempt to reverse a federal judge's decision that allowed gays and lesbians to begin marrying in Oregon.
Judge Michael McShane's ruling came down last May. In June, the high court refused to block it.
On Monday, the court included the Oregon case on a long list of petitions it refused to hear.
The National Organization for Marriage has been battling against state actions to allow same-sex marriage. Thirty-six states and the District of Columbia now allow gay marriage.
The court is hearing arguments April 28 on gay marriage cases from four states: Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee.
