"Tonight You’re Mine" is a Woodstock of the senses. A film set entirely at a large-scale music concert seems like a tough sell. However, director David MacKenzie is able to tell a cohesive story and still capture the heart and soul of outdoor concerts. Ultimately, though, the story elements can fall flat despite the great visuals of the film.

Adam (Luke Treadaway) is a successful musician gearing up for a major gig at a Scottish music festival. He runs into Morello (Natalia Tena) and her all-girl rock group. After a slight kerfuffle, an eccentric concertgoer handcuffs him to Morello. What follows is a tour of the concert and the fun and frolic of large festivals through the eyes of this couple. The only issue, they’re both currently dating someone else.

Despite being known for the "Harry Potter" films Natalia Tena is able to convey a realistic vulnerability and a rock star edge very reminiscent of her appearance in "About a Boy." Luke Treadway really has the charisma of a rock star especially during the musical sequences. Matthew Baynton steals a lot of scenes as Tyko, Adam’s band mate and DJ.

The film is very topical and really does capture where music and youth culture are today. You get a feel for what the culture is at these concerts, from being forced to use port-o-potties to sleeping in yurts nothing is off-limits. However, the major love story does feel a little simplistic and underdeveloped.

Film buffs can really appreciate the great cinematography of this film and music lovers will enjoy the great music. However, when seeing "Tonight You’re Mine," be prepared for a slightly cookie-cutter love story.
