The conservative anti-gay group One Million Moms (OMM) is back at it again -- and it’s no surprise the organization is targeting JC Penney. This time OMM has a problem with the department store’s Father’s Days ad, which features two dads and their children, ABC news reported.

The ad’s text says: "What makes Dad so cool? He’s the swim coach, tent maker, best friend, bike fixer and hug giver - all rolled into one. Or two." The photo shows real-life dads Todd Koch and Cooper Smith with their kids.

OMM, which most likely does not consist of one million moms, was extremely upset about the company’s ad and fired off a statement condemning JC Penney.

"It’s obvious that JCP would rather take sides than remain neutral in the culture war," OMM writes. "JCP will hear from the other side, so they need to hear from us as well. Our persistence will pay off! One day we will answer for our actions or lack of them. We must remain diligent and stand up for Biblical values and truth. Scripture says multiple times that homosexuality is wrong, and God will not tolerate this sinful nature."

The group has now started another boycott against the department store.

Back in May, OMM attacked the company’s ad for including lesbian moms in its Mother’s Day catalog. The organization resorted to their old tactics and asked their supporters to call and visit their local JC Penney store and complain to the store manager.

"Local managers are more likely to listen to your concerns and pass them along to the corporate office," the group says in a statement.

Additionally, OMM made national headlines in February when it called for a boycott of the department store after it hired comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres as its spokeswoman.

"Funny that JC Penney thinks hiring an open homosexual spokesperson will help their business when most of their customers are traditional families," the million (or so) moms write on their website. "DeGeneres is not a true representation of the type of families that shop at their store. The majority of JC Penney shoppers will be offended and choose to no longer shop there."

The group admitted defeat, however, in early March and called off the boycott and announced that it would no longer focus on getting DeGeneres fired and is moving on to other issues.

"But we have heard back from so many of our members," Monica Cole of One Million Moms said. "We have heard back from men and women -- not just moms -- saying they will no longer shop there at JC Penney, as long as Ellen DeGeneres is their spokesperson."

JC Penney spokesman Joseph Thomas talked to ABC News about the controversial issue.

"In celebration of Father’s Day, we’re proud that our June book honors men from diverse backgrounds who all share the joy of fatherhood," he said in an email.

A Joe My God reader emailed JC Penney and applauded the company for its stance on equality and received a heartwarming response.

"Dear JCP, I love you guys. I have never been into a JC Penney store, but after seeing your ad with Cooper Smith and Todd Koch and their kids ... well, you guys rock. I will find something to buy, just to say thank you!! sincerely, mike."

The clothing company responded back and said: "Dear Mike, Thank you for sharing with me your very valuable feedback. As a company founded on ’The Golden Rule,’ we consider it our top priority to treat each customer as we would like to be treated. Fair and Square. We are in the process of dreaming up new ways to make you love shopping with us and your comments help us move one step closer to becoming your favorite store! Hope you have a great weekend! Sincerely, Chris, Customer Care Representative."

  • Anonymous, 2012-06-04 11:34:38

I see where I’m going to get my Father’s Day present....

  • Anonymous, 2012-06-04 12:16:57

Well I guess god was a bigot then huh? I will no longer shop at penny’s and support their gay agenda. The majority of Americans do not support this behavior, and are sick of corporations pretending that we do. We have had enough!!

  • Anonymous, 2012-06-04 13:09:12

This is a prime example of what a business should represent. Penny’s doesn’t need your business because they have mine. By the way I’m sure you’re aware they sell products consisting of 2 different fabrics. Get over it!

JC Pennys is quickly becoming my favorite store to shop at.

  • Anonymous, 2012-06-04 20:11:29

I went on the website and sent an email advising that as a 30 year card holder I’m pleased that they are standing up for diversity. I spent $500. over the mother’s day threat...and I’m going to more than double my spending for Father’s day. Stick that up your dried up ole neglected cooter’s OMM.

OMM people need to get a life, what do you think homosexuality will rub off if you shop at JC Pennys. Stop throwing in God and the Bible, if you were a true Christian then you wouldn’t be judging people for their beliefs. The Bible has been revised to what they wanted to add. Unless you have seen the original. GROW UP LADIES. I am a Christian and Ellen is one of the most giving people I have ever seen and funny to boot.

  • Anonymous, 2012-06-04 23:10:57

I whole-heartedly agree with the ’get a life’ comment. On behalf of the gay community, I would like to thank OMM for the much needed support they have inspired to celebrate diversity and equal rights for all. I know that was not your original intention...but. As a gay Christian, I would like to exhort OMM to ’get the plank out of your own eye’ and revisit what Jesus said was the summation of all the Law; "Love God and love your neighbors".

You perfect ppl should be ashame of your self, why do you care if they are selling to gays, black, whites... we all are ppl, your money spends like any 1 else... you probaly would stop buying from alot of companies than... those who never sin case the first stone.. but why is it a sin... if our God never makes mistakes.. Its a life style get over it... it you dont like being gay, then dont date the same gender.. that solves your problem... but the real problem is if you dont agree than its wrong.. get a life and mind your own dam business... • Anonymous, 2012-06-05 14:40:11

Where are the moms of such young children? What comes to mind is that these guys dumped their wives for each other?! Sorry, but JCP should keep out of the gay activism. JCP appears to be in favor of gay abandoning their wives for sex and lust.

  • Scott , 2012-06-05 19:13:36

The comment from anonymous at 14:40:11 has to be one of the all-time most hilarious, embarrassingly stupid, humiliatingly "and someone let your brain out of an American public school" comments that I have ever seen. Yes. Yes, indeed. All of us gays are just rampantly divorcing our wives and stealing our children away, right under everyone’s nose! The secret is out! Pathetic. The moment a person turns on Christian faith, they turn off virtually all of their own higher brain analytical functions, and it shows. I hadn’t shopped at JC Penney for decades, but I shop there now! Ultimately, Christian troglodytes, you have lost the culture war. You think you’re still fighting, while all the younger generations just roll their eyes at you and get on with the struggles of life. Your religion makes everything worse. It has *always* made everything worse. With any luck--and, perhaps, with the blessing of God--when you all decay into dust, your arrogant and fatuous beliefs will die with you. Figure it out, OMM: No. One. Cares. Anymore.

  • Anonymous, 2012-06-05 20:21:25

Lol, It really WAS funny! One Million Polyester Mom’s biggest fear realized...Ladies, better check your husbands underpants for santorum.

  • Anonymous, 2012-06-07 10:03:31

Perfect comment Scott. What I find truly hilarious is they always pull the "the majority of Americans are against this" bullshit. Yeah, I’m sure extreme right wing, bigoted (and quite obviously ignorant) Christians are the majority. Come on now, how do you not see how crazy you people sound? You cherry pick parts of the bible to fit your agenda, when the rest of the entire book says the opposite. Stop using a tool meant for good to justify spreading hate.

  • Anonymous, 2012-06-10 00:30:05

The OMM are no more Christians than is Lucifer himself! God andi are perfect, he has no part of using hatred and fear because people, not god is scared. These "moms" are nothing more than self loathing hate mongers and I have NO doubt that I will not ser any of them when I am permitted thru the gates of heaven. I pray for them.

  • Marc , 2012-06-12 23:23:05

Scott questioning other peoples intellect just because they have faith that you don’t call into question your own IQ, which I suspect is not half what you think it is. The pretense of intellectual superiority is for the lazy mind, not the acute. That said... Go, JCP!
